AVA Avista Corporation (AVA) Hydro One Limited (TSX: H) and Avista Corporation (AVA) today jointly announced a definitive merger agreement under which Hydro One will acquire Avista for C$67 (US$53) per share in a C$6.7 billion (US$5.3 billion) all-cash transaction. Together, Hydro One and Avista will create a North American leader in regulated electricity and natural gas business with over C$32.2 billion (US$25.4 billion) in combined assets. The transaction brings together two industry-leading regulated utilities with over 230 years of collective operational experience as well as shared corporate cultures and values. The combined entity will safely and reliably serve more than two million retail and industrial customers and hold assets throughout North America including Ontario, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska.

DWCH Datawatch (DWCH) reported Q3 EPS of ($0.04), $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.02). Revenue for the quarter came in at $9.07 million versus the consensus estimate of $8.83 million.

HPJ Highpower International, Inc. (HPJ) announced preliminary second quarter 2017 results. Net sales is estimated to be in the range of $50.0 to $52.0 million, a 36% to 42% increase from $36.7 million in the same quarter of 2016. First half 2017 net sales are estimated to be in the range of $92.0 to $94.0 million, a 39% to 43% increase from $65.8 million in the same time period last year. Second quarter 2017 gross profit is estimated to be in the range of $11.0 to $12.0 million, a 44% to 58% increase from $7.6 million in the second quarter of 2016. Total first half 2017 gross profit is estimated to be in the $21to $22 million range, compared to $13.5 million in the first half of 2016, a 55% to 63% increase. Net income is estimated to be in the $3.5 to $4.1 million range, a 66% to 95% increase from $2.1 million in the same quarter of 2016. First half 2017 net income is estimated to be in the $6.0 to $6.6million range, a 250% to 288% increase from $1.7 million in the same period of 2016.

NKE Nike (NKE) Morgan Stanley upgraded from Equalweight to Overweight with a price target of $68.00 (from $56.00).

PLXS Plexus Corp (PLXS) reported Q3 EPS of $0.74, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.72. Revenue for the quarter came in at $619 million versus the consensus estimate of $608.79 million. Plexus Corp sees Q4 2017 EPS of $0.77-$0.87, versus the consensus of $0.84. Plexus Corp sees Q4 2017 revenue of $660-770 million, versus the consensus of $674.8 million.

SRPT Sarepta Therapeutics (SRPT) reported Q2 EPS of ($0.46), $0.45 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.91). Revenue for the quarter came in at $35 million versus the consensus estimate of $22.38 million. Guidance: Raises FY2017 guidance to $125-130 million.

TMUS T-Mobile (TMUS) reported Q2 EPS of $0.67, $0.29 better than the analyst estimate of $0.38. Revenue for the quarter came in at $10.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $9.81 billion. Increasing guidance range for branded postpaid net customer additions to 3.0 - 3.6 million from 2.8 - 3.5 million.
